OKâlaKatiget Society contacted each of the North Coast communities to see what their ice conditions are like.
In Nain, we spoke with Ronald Webb with Sikumiut Environmental.
Webb says that the ice is good around Nain yet, but it is still watery.
And the brooks are open now and dangerous.
Webb adds that snowmobile drivers need to take caution driving by the airstrip as it is getting very thin due to the sand being knocked down on it.
