Presentation about Archaeology Collection Tonight in Goose Bay

The Newfoundland and Labrador Archaeological Society (NLAS) has had their latest report published in the Community Collections Archaeological Research Project (CCARP).

The CCARP report, completed by a MUN Master’s student, will be presenting the results of an analysis of materials collected by Carol Brice-Bennett from Hebron, Okak Bay, Battle Harbour and Red Bay in Labrador, and from Conception Bay in Newfoundland.

Many of the objects have particular relevance for the Aboriginal peoples of Labrador, and include objects produced by the Maritime Archaic, Paleoeskimo, and Inuit peoples.

There will be a free presentation on the collection at 7 pm tonight, April 27, in room 250 at the College of the North Atlantic in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL.
