Natuashish Man Facing Firearms Charges

A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged after an incident involving a firearm that occurred in Natuashish on March 18, 2017.

RCMP officers responded to a call that a man had discharged a firearm while walking in the community.

Police located the man at his residence.

He was agitated and would not cooperate with officers.

OC spray was deployed and the man was taken into custody.

Jevaron Gregoire has been charged with Careless Use of a Firearm, Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Assault of a Peace Officer, and Breach of the community’s alcohol bylaw.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

The investigation is continuing.
