Inuit youth between the ages of 14-18 will once again have the opportunity to apply to attend this year’s Students on Ice (SOI) Arctic Expedition.
SOI’s 2017 Arctic Expedition will take 120 youth from across Canada and around the world.
The expedition dates are August 8 to 23, 2017, with a northern youth pre-program at Nunavut Sivuniksavut August 6 to 7, 2017.
Caitlyn Baikie is the Arctic Youth and Partnerships Manager for SOI.
Baikie says that there are a couple of scholarships for Nain.
She also encourages youth to apply for this expedition.
In total, there are forty scholarships available for Inuit youth.
The deadline to apply is 6 pm, Atlantic Standard Time (AST) on March 1, 2017.
