Wood for Sale from NGC

The Nunatsiavut Group of Companies (NGC) shipped up about 96 cords of wood to Nain during the summer season.

OK Radio spoke with Adam Brown, the Vice President of Operations for NGC in Happy Valley-Goose bay, NL.

The wood that was donated to the Nain Inuit Community Government (NICG) was from the Muskrat Falls clearing.

Brown says they shipped up 96 cords of wood, and the last 2 shipments of wood were about 44 cords.

The last 44 cords will be up for sale.

The cost is $250 for half a cord.

The money raised will go towards buying more wood for next year.

If anyone wants to buy the wood, you can do so at the wharf hangar with Levi Nochasak.

If no one purchases the wood, it will have to be distributed to the community.
