Nain to Receive More Wood; NICG Seeking Volunteers and Trucks for Delivery

The Nain Inuit Community Government is receiving more wood for seniors when the freight boat, Astron, arrives.

The Astron was in Makkovik last night, and is on its way to Nain.

Joe Dicker is the AngajukKak of Nain.

He says after the Astron gets in, he will need some volunteers and truck owners to help deliver the wood.

Dicker says anyone wanting to volunteer can give him a call at the Town Office at 922-2842.

He says they are receiving 2 more flatbed trailers and 2 containers of wood from Upper Lake Melville.

The wood will be delivered first to seniors 55 years and up, then to the disabled and widows, and those considered single mothers.

So today is a good day to call Dicker if you interested and willing to volunteer for this worthy cause.
