The Labrador Friendship Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay is scheduled to open up a new youth centre sometime in September.
OK Radio spoke with Jennifer Hefler-Elson, Executive Director with LFC.
She says that the new youth centre will be located next door to the LFC at 49 A Grenfell Street.
The funding came from a fundraiser several years ago that LFC had done and put money away for a youth centre that was in conjunction with Labrador Grenfell Health.
Hefler-Elson adds that they want the youth to get involved before they decorate because they want the youth to design how they would want it.
She also says that any interested volunteers are more than welcome to help out.
