A Sheshatshiu girl struck by a bulldozer was welcomed home Wednesday, after she spent months recovering in hospital in St. John’s.
Maria Nuna, aged 6, was hit by a bulldozer at the Happy Valley-Goose Bay landfill in May and has been in hospital since.
Nuna was excited to see her friends and family when she landed at the Happy Valley-Goose Bay airport and that evening there was a welcome-home dinner in Sheshatshiu.
But Nuna’s not fully recovered yet; her injuries will require physiotherapy for some time.
