It’s already been a busy summer with the projects at the Voisey’s Bay Mine Site.
In regard to the upcoming plans for the underground mining, they are working on more temporary accommodations for employees.
Peter Langlois is the Director of Operations for Vale NL.
He says the MV Umiak 1 arrived with some modules recently.
The modules will be assembled for 50 to 60 additional employees.
Langlois says there are currently 230 to 250 workers at the site, with employees going on and coming off leave.
There is capacity for 475 employees at the mine site.
