Artifacts on Display in Rigolet

A collection of artifacts that were found at Double Mere in Rigolet was on display at the Strathcona house last week.

Kerry Pottle is the Tourism Manager for the Rigolet Inuit Community Government.

Pottle says a human jaw bone was also found, and the remains have been sent out for forensics.

Pottle adds that the archeology work at Double Mere should be completed by the end of the month.

Jamie Brake, Lisa Rankin, and Peter Whitridge are doing the archeology work in Rigolet.
