The George Lane Memorial Dart Tournament will be starting up again this year on May 6th and 7th.
Jim Tuttauk is one of the organizers for this event.
Tuttauk says that the tournament will be taking place at the Nanuk Community Centre.
He says that they haven’t had the tournament in a few years due to not having anywhere to play.
There are 6 teams in total registered so far, 5 from Hopedale and 1 from Makkovik.
Tuttauk says that there will be cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
They are currently fundraising for the cash prizes, and they will be selling tickets on a return ticket donated by Air Labrador.
There are 4 players per team, 2 Female and 2 Male.
The deadline to register a team is April 29th, 2016 but may be extended to Monday, May 2.
He also adds that this tournament is open to anyone in Labrador, and they will start up darts once the tournament is over.
