Single Motor Vehicle Accident Results In Impaired Driving Charges

On February 7th, 2016, at approximately 2:30 AM, the Sheshatshiu RCMP was dispatched to a single motor vehicle rollover on Route 520, the North West River Highway.

As a result of this rollover, the lone passenger of the motor vehicle was transported to the Labrador Health facility in Happy Valley-Goose Bay with minor injuries.

The driver of the motor vehicle, a 24 year-old man from Sheshatshiu, was arrested at the scene of the rollover for impaired driving.

He provided samples of his breath that were nearly 3 times the legal limit.

This man has since been released from custody to appear in court in Happy Valley-Goose Bay at a later date.
