The Jens Haven Memorial Primary school and the 4-12 school have announced a schedule of events for the month of February.
Here they are:
February 8th to 12th, the primary school will be holding events for the annual Janeway Week in support of the Janeway Children’s Hospital in St. John’s, NL.
February 9th will be the 100th day of school.
The students are asked to dress as a 100 year old version of themselves to earn house league team points.
February 14th to the 20th is Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week.
February 15th to 19th is Newfoundland and Labrador Teacher’s Association (NLTA) Education Week.
The annual speak off will be taking place in Rigolet from February 24th to the 26th.
This year, there are three students from Jens Haven representing the school.
They are Chaim Andersen, Caroline Nochasak and Amber Saksagiak.
And on February 24, the Level 3 students will be talking part in the annual VALE trip to Voisey’s Bay.
They will return to Nain on the 26th.
