Nunatsiavut Marine would like to advise customers that the MV Astron is expected to depart Lewisporte late this week, weather permitting, and will call ports north to Nain, then return to Lewisporte, calling ports south as required.
This will be the final sailing of the MV Astron for the 2015 shipping season.
The MV Northern Ranger will depart Happy Valley — Goose Bay on Friday November 27th at midnight, weather permitting, and will sail to Rigolet, Cartwright, and Black Tickle.
Passenger service will end upon arrival in Black Tickle. The vessel will then sail to Lewisporte to begin freight runs out of Lewisporte and Goose Bay to the coastal ports, as long as ice conditions allow.
Please be advised that Nunatsiavut Marine is still accepting freight, but will continue to only accept items for shipment that can be handled by the Northern Ranger.
Reminder: Delivery of accepted items after October 30th cannot be guaranteed.
Items such as vehicles or large commercial cargo will not be accepted.
