Kuujjuaq is just about all set for the upcoming 20th annual Aqpik Jam Festival or bakeapple as it is known in English.
Tunu Napartuk is the Town Mayor.
He says the festival gets underway Monday, August 10 and finishes on Friday, August 14.
Napartuk says they have invited a lot of entertainers from the north as well as
well-known country singer Johnny Reid.
Napartok says this summer appears to be a good growing year for the bakeapples.
At the festival there will be a bakeapple picking contest with a cash prize for the winner.
There are a lot of other activities scheduled for the four day celebration.
