The local weather stations in Nain are seeking for a full time Weather Observer .
We spoke with Wayne Baikie, the Weather Observer/Weather Station Manager.
Baikie says this position will be full time; each worker will rotate work with 2 weeks on and 1 week off.
He says the employee will receive 6 weeks training in Cornwall Ontario.
This course will outline how to observe and report the weather.
The weather station gives reports every hour to Environment Canada in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
Baikie says the Deadline for the position will be on August 31, 2015.
Hours of operation will be from 5am to 12:30am and 12:30am to 8pm.
