The Nain Ground Search and Rescue team were pleased to award a Bravery Plaque to one of their members last week.
We spoke with Sid Pain, the Commander for the NGSAR team.
Pain says Jim Andersen of Nain was awarded an outstanding bravery award and was given a plaque and a rescue throw bag.
During their meeting on June 10, the Ground Search and Rescue Team presented the plaque to Jim Andersen for rescuing 2 people out of the water this spring in Nain Bay.
Pain says Andersen appreciated the award.
Andersen also mentioned that everyone up at Nain Bay at the time were all helping as well.
