Atlantic Salmon sampling is expected to happen in each of the north coast communities this summer.
Todd Broomfield is the Director of Renewable Resources for Nunatsiavut Government and Martha Robertson is with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
Broomfield says NG has been in partnership with DFO for many years.
He says they have been collecting scales and fin clip samples.
And more importantly, he asks everyone who has a communal salmon licence to return their log sheets or books and tags.
Broomfield says returning the salmon log sheets or books and tags helps NG and DFO.
