Labrador Grenfell Health Addressing Concerns About TB In Nain (Audio)

Labrador Grenfell Health has been working closely with the Nunatsiavut Government to make sure they are delivering key messages about the Tuberculosis outbreak in Nain.

And to make sure people are screened and treated.

Donnie Sampson is the Vice-President of Nursing and Chief Nurse for Labrador Grenfell Health.

She says there have been many questions and concerns brought up from the residents in Nain about the disease.

Sampson says if anyone is called by the public health nurse and notified that you may have been in contact with someone who is sick, it is important that you go and visit your public health nurse to be tested for TB.

TB is a bacteria and is treatable.
