The Elder’s Gathering went well last week, and included some invited youths.
It took place in Hopedale from Monday, March 16 to Friday March 20th.
However, some of the agenda items had to be changed last Thursday due to a storm.
Beverly Hunter was the Facilitator of the Gathering.
She says the main purpose of the Elder’s Gathering is to remember and honour the strength, and to identify the needs, issues and challenges of Elders.
And to address some of those issues, and develop stronger relationships with the Elders and Youths.
Also, so that Elders and youths can work together to strengthen their respective communities.
