The 20th Ethel Pijogge Dog Team Race was held in Hopedale on March 21st of this year.
We spoke to Boas Mitsuk, the Recreation Director for the community.
Here are the results:
The First Place winner was Perry Voisey of Makkovik, and he won $800.
Second went to Buddy Morgan of Makkovik, and he took home $600.
The Third Place winner was Andreas Jararuse of Hopedale, and he won $400.
Rex Voisey of Makkovik was 4th and Herb Pijogge was 5th.
They both took home $300.
Mitsuk says the best looking dogs belonged to Andreas Jararuse, and he won $300 for that.
Mitsuk says the run was 20 kilometers.
He adds each musher will receive a carving for entering the dog team race.
