Taste Of The Arctic Next Week (Audio)

Canada’s National Inuit Organization, Inuit Tapiriit Kanadami (ITk) is hosting its annual fundraising and networking, food and entertainment event, A Taste of the Arctic soon.

Terry Audla is the President of ITK.

He says the event will be held at the National Arts Center on March 10.

Audla says a professional chef will be cooking up Traditional Inuit food.

And for the first time in the history of A Taste of the Arctic, maktak (whale) with dipping sauce will be on the menu as an Inuit delicacy.

He says the other Inuit foods they will serve are char, caribou, muskox, seal, shrimp, and berries.
