On Sunday morning, March 1st, 2015, RCMP in Happy Valley Goose Bay received a call of a stabbing at a residence on Hamilton River Road.
Officers attended the scene and a 22 year old female was transported to the hospital with a non life threatening injury.
A 25 year old male was arrested at the scene for assault with a weapon and remains in police custody.
The male and female are known to each other and alcohol was believed to be a factor in this incident.
At this time no charges have been laid and Goose Bay RCMP continue to investigate the matter.
