The Nunatsiavut Government will be holding its Assembly Sitting in Hopedale on Monday.
We spoke with Sean Lyall, Speaker for the Nunatsiavut Government (or NG).
The NG had 2 positions available for youth for the position of Pages for the NG Assembly Chamber.
Lyall says the two positions are now filled.
He adds that they had a lot of interest from youth who applied for the positions.
Lyall says they picked the names of the two pages out of a cap to ensure the selection process was a fair one.
The successful applicants who will be traveling to Hopedale this Monday are Amber Saksagiak and Julia Pijogge of Nain.
The Assembly Sitting will take place this Tuesday March 2nd, 2015.
It will be held at the NG Assembly Building.
The two successful pages will be helping during the sitting and taking notes.
Lyall says this is a great opportunity for youth who want to take part in government in the future.
He adds that he is very happy that young Inuit are taking part in our government.
