Nain Multi-Purpose Centre Nearing Completion

Construction work on the new Multi- purpose center in Nain has been continuing for the past two weeks.

That was after contractors came back to town to do more work.

Joe Dicker is the AngajukKak of the Inuit Community Government Office.

He says the tiles on the gymnasium floor are being put down, and they are waiting for that to be completed.

An inspection will have to be done on the electrical work and water pipes in the building to make sure there is no deficiency in those.

Dicker says from there, they will be doing the general inspections in the first week of March.

And then wait for the building to be handed over to the Inuit Community Government.

He says there will be a grand opening ceremony taking place, but the date has not been scheduled just yet.

The community will be notified when the dates are set.
