B&J Webb Memorial Tourney Starts Tonight

The puck drops at the Nain Husky Center this evening at 6pm.

That is when the 14th annual Bernard & Jeffrey Webb Memorial Ice Hockey Tournament begins.

The tournament is hosted by Nain Inuit Community Government and the Recreation Department.

There are 8 hockey teams participating in total.

Dream Team, The Other Guys, Flames and Rubber Puckies from Nain, with Natuashish Most, the Team Innu, Amaguit and the RCMP’s have some Nain players on their team.

Tonight, Thursday, January 29 at 6pm, the puck will be dropped by daughter Janice Webb of the late Bernard Webb and a brother, Herman Webb.

The first games will feature the teams from Nain.
At 6pm it’s the Rubber Puckies vs Dream Team.
At 8pm the Flames face off against The Other Guys.

On Friday, January 30th- again, at 6pm, will be: Dream Team vs the Other Guys.
At 8pm it’s the RCMP’s vs. Team Innu.
At 10pm- Amaguit vs Natuashish’s Most.

Saturday, January 31, at 9am- Rubber Puckies vs The Other Guys.
Natuashish’s Most vs Team Innu at 11am.
Followed by Flames vs Dream Team at 1pm.
RCMP’s vs Amaguit at 3pm.
At 5pm – Rubber Puckies vs Flames.
7 pm- Natushish’s Most vs RCMP.
Amaguit vs Team Innu at 9pm.
