The annual Santa Parade and best decorated float competitions have been taking place in each coastal community.
In Postville, they held their Santa Parade on Saturday December 20 at 6pm.
We spoke with Pauline Manak, the Recreation Director.
She says the parade began at the Recreation Hall, then went around town, and back to the Rec hall.
At the Rec Hall, Santa came with treat bags to hand out to each child.
Hot chocolate and cookies were also served.
For the best decorated float competition, the first place winner was Jada Marie Jacque; she won herself $75.
Second place went to Kadine Manak; she won $50.
And the third place winner was Caitlyn Jacque; she won $25.
In Nain, they held their Santa Parade yesterday at 1pm.
The parade began at the air strip and ended at the JHMS School gym.
Santa and his elves were handing out a present and a treat bag to each child 12 years and under.
And the first place winner in the best decorated float competition was Nancy Ikkusek; she won herself $200.
